The edges of images taken by iPhone X is a little better than Samsung Galaxy Note 8, but not as good as iPhone 8 Plus, as the auto process eased vigttering and chromatic dispersion. When light shining right in the lens, iPhone X would produce ray-like flare or ghosting, but do not affect much to contrast, while some photos looks grey is caused by HDR, not the lens. The anti-flare performance of iPhone X and iPhone 8 is similar, both belongs to the best ones, great progress when comparing with iPhone 7 series.

Powerful HDR algorithm gives iPhone X excellent photos when meeting high contrast scenes. In such typical scenes, traditional digital cameras would produce dark arch back, while iPhone would handle it for details in the dark parts. iPhone X would HDR automatically, it could be exaggerated for extra-high contrast scenes, and could be moderate for those ordinary scenes.
