U12+ adopts dual front and back cameras, the front dual camera uses dual 8MP CIS, lens aperture F2.0, equivalent focal length of about 24 mm. The U12+ default metering mode is the average mode. In fact, the default mode is not important, because metering for scenes has become more and more popular. U12+ is optimized for sunny scenes. It can be seen that most of the white areas under strong light are well controlled, and only a few examples have mild spills.
However, metering in low-light scenes is another matter. In low-light scenes, U12+ metering is radical, causing significant overflow.
U12+ also has the function of metering on focus spot, but it is off in default. The sensitivity of linkage is not too large. It has priority on the metering result and is easy to master. Exposure compensation tools are available in both professional and automatic modes. The exposure compensation range is ¡À3 EV in professional mode and 0.1 EV in steps, while ¡À5 EV in automatic mode and 0.17 EV stepping.
The U12+ also introduces a face recognition and metering linkage mode that recognizes that the face will be prioritized for face metering and then uses HDR to ensure background exposure.
